Joint operation launched to stem vehicle cloning syndicate

A joint “Search and Seizure Operation” is currently being conducted by members of The Insurance Crime Bureau, The South African Police Services (SAPS) and The National Anti-Corruption Unit of the Road Transport Management Corporation (RTMC), resulting in the temporary suspension of services at the Rand West Municipal Vehicle Registration Centre in Westonaria.

This operation is to uncover fraudulent transactions in the vehicle registration processes, and to address the scourge of corruption within the vehicle registration system by officials.
