The SAIA Board has approved the Enterprise and Supplier Development Strategy. Enterprise and Supplier Development will focus on black broker development as well as the development of suppliers in the motor and construction space. SAIA is currently in discussions with INSETA and ASISA to get the Black Broker Development programme off the ground.
Financial Sector Charter
The public commentary process for the Financial Sector Code has been closed. The FSC Council together with the Department of Trade and Industry (Dti) are currently in the process of working through the comments. The code is anticipated to be gazetted at the end of July 2016.
SAIA Consumer Education Initative
The Next of Next Week (NONW) Industrial Theatre events took place on 23 May to 27 June 2016. SAIA branded material has been purchased to be used as prizes for audience interaction at each show. The SAIA has provided production company, Diprente with a variety of merchandise that promotes financial literacy. Prizes include money boxes, calculators and financial literacy board games.
Filming of the NONW tv series has been concluded with the six-episode sitcom scheduled to air on Etv in August/September 2016. Broadcast schedules are in the process of being finalised.
